Christmas

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone already!!! That means the next big event is... baby being born! That's weird. On Friday, the whole family went up to Park City to the Tanger outlets. We bought more cute baby clothes, and Ben even found some stuff he wanted! It was exciting. On Christmas Eve we all helped my mom make Dreams (a family secret recipe). They are yummy little candy things dipped in chocolate and rolled in nuts.

We also did A LOT of wrapping! We then took a break from wrapping to have our big Christmas Eve dinner, which I failed to take any pictures of. We had a yummy dinner of ham, potatoes, rolls, etc. We all stuffed ourselves- it was great. I also took a belly photo! This is me at 32.5  weeks, and yes I am getting huge. Everyone keeps telling me they don't think I'm going to make it to February :) My biggest complaint these days is that my pelvic bones are starting to shift apart and it hurts bad when I go from sitting to standing/walking, and rolling over in bed. I'm excited that I don't have that much time left! Oh and I also got my haircut this week!

32.5 Weeks
After a little more wrapping, we opened our pajamas!! I got some cute maternity PJ's, and Ben got some Penn State sweats! Here is our annual family pajama picture.

PS it may look like my dad is wearing jeans, but they are pajamas!
Christmas day Ben and I woke up at 6:30am to talk to his brother Justin, who is on his mission. It was fun to talk with him and the whole family. We had church at 10:30am, so we didn't do any Christmas until after we got home. We got some cool gifts, and baby even got presents and he isn't even here yet! Lucky boy. We got some movies, games, clothes, Ben got a nice dress coat, and I got a new camera lens! Baby got more clothes and some stuffed animals. Uncle Nicholas even got him so Broncos onsies! Here some pictures of Ben and I with our gifts.

Like our bibs? ;)

We got Taylor some DVDs she wanted, but she also got a really cute purse- so I put up that picture too :)

Nicholas got a Lids giftcard and a package of Oreo's from us. He also got a cowboy hat.

My mom and dad got a little date package from us. They got a giftcard for the movies, a giftcard to PF Chang's, and some boxes of candy. In each gift was a puzzle piece.

This is what the puzzle said- "GO ON A DATE!"
It was an excellent Christmas. After some naps, we had a very yummy breakfast for dinner and watched some new movies. :) We can't wait for next year!

Baby Shower!

The Saturday after we got into town, my Mom threw me a baby shower! It was fun to see some of my friends again and to get baby stuff! We got mostly clothes and giftcards, which is good because we can fit that into suitcases :) We appreciate all the gifts we got!

This was from Claire!

My mom blew up one of our ultrasound pictures on a canvas!

From Kate. She made that little wipe case! She also gave me a sweet bag of things for the hospital!

My old roommate Mariah was able to drop by later with a hand crocheted blanket and homemade burp cloths!

My mom made this quilt out of our family's old jeans! There is even some denim in there from my great grandma!

We played some baby shower games, opened gifts, then ate food! My mom made chicken salad, cookies, cake balls, and a blue punch! It was delicious and a lot of fun!

Chrismas Break Part 1

This last Wednesday Ben had his last final! To celebrate him finishing his first semester of law school, we went to Texas Roadhouse! Ben was looking forward to their tasty ribs... and unfortunately they were out of them that night. However, Ben was a good trooper and got a steak instead :) We got reeeallly full, then went home and packed for our 3 week break!

The next day we flew to Utah. The trip didn't get to a great start... Our first flight which was from State College to Philadelphia was supposed to be a 25 minute flight. However, for some reason we were stuck on the runway for an hour because the people in the tower wouldn't let us leave. Luckily our next connection didn't get cancelled like the majority of the people on that flight. We got to Philly and it took FOREVER and a half for them to unload the carry-on baggage, then we had to take a shuttle to the right concourse. We ran to our gate and made it just in time. They had already boarded everyone, but hadn't left yet. And yes I did say we RAN. It must have been a sight seeing a 31 week pregnant lady running through the airport. After about 5 strides my legs were KILLING me, but we made it and I didn't die so it's all good. :) The flight from Philadelphia to Phoenix was about 5.5 hours, and it was very much not enjoyable for me, but somehow I made it through. From Phoenix we flew to Salt Lake City, where my brother picked us up and took us home. We were soooo ready to be done with traveling!
At home I laid down on the couch and our dog Tilli jumped up with me and decided to make herself at home on my belly. I think she thought it was a nice little pillow for her :) She didn't seem the least bit disturbed or interested when baby started kicking at her.

After dinner, my mom put us to work painting these little trees my sister cut out of wood for the ward Christmas party. I think we painted like 35 trees or something.

The next day we went to Provo to help our friends the Myers' finish up packing and go to lunch. We went to Zupa's and it was delicious as always. We had a really good time catching up and visiting with those two!

That night was the ward Christmas party. My mom and my sister helped plan it, and the theme was Whoville. It was a pretty intense party! They had dinner, and lots of little booths for kids to play games, decorate cookies, make crafts, write letters to Santa, etc.

There was also a skit of The Grinch who Stole Christmas! My brother was the narrator, and my dad was the Grinch! They both did a really good job. The kids loved it, and wouldn't sit still during it. They pretty much started acting like a mob.
The beginning, so all the kids were sitting.

See all the kids standing up and swarming my brother and dad?
