Pool Time

Just the other day I bought a reeeeeeeeeaaally cute maternity swimsuit online. It has made me quite excited for pool time this summer. I hope that it looks as cute on me as it did on the picture. I also got it for a steal of a deal (always helps!). Unfortunately it won't be here for a little while, so in the meantime I bought James a little inflatable baby pool from Target for $5. Today I blew it up (with my own lungs), and took pitchers/bowls/pots full of water from the sink and filled it up!
James played in it for about 45 seconds, and the rest of the time I chased him around our courtyard.
When he was in it though, he loved it! He splashed away like a little mad man. Here are too many pictures of our pool time today.

not interested right now, mom

this is nice... now help me out

making a break for it... notice the grass stuck to his foot

i plopped him in a third time and loved it!

love his hair

Also, this little boy had his 15 month checkup today and his stats are the following:
Weight: 22.6 lbs- 49% (I was very surprised at this percentile... and very happy!)
Height: 31.25 in- 42%
He had one shot, and didn't even cry! We love this little boy so much, it's unreal... but trust me, it's real!

Mother's Day

When I came downstairs the morning of Mother's Day, I found a cute little gift set-up on the coffee table Ben had put together. He had cut out little hearts and wrote reasons why I am a good mommy on them. My favorite one was "because you wipe James's nose." :)
It was a total surprise and I LOVED it. So cute.

nothing like getting maternity clothes for mother's day.

At church all the women received a wonderful little brunch. I stuffed myself so when we got home we didn't even have my special mother's day breakfast. That's okay. Maybe next year :)
James even let us take a 2 hour nap! It was great. I love my little family.

just a day shy of 28 weeks here!

I wanted to document me actually looking cute and dressed up... so here ya go.

National Zoo!!

This past weekend we went to Washington DC to visit our friends who will be moving to North Carolina in a few weeks. We were going to go to the temple too, but of course we forgot our temple clothes and recommends... SO because that plan fell through, we decided to go to the zoo! It was a lot of fun! And a lot of walking... seriously. I have shin splints. My favorite part was riding the merry-go-round with James. James could have cared less but I loved it! It was really hot, and James wasn't feeling too well but he was such a trooper! Ben's favorite was the big cats.
