Theo's Baby Blessing Weekend Extravaganza (part one)

We blessed our sweet little Theo this past Sunday!

Ben's parents drove in Friday night. We had dinner, played, and we all helped put James to bed. Then the next day they went with us to take family pictures! Post about those soon, don't worry.
First off, Theo is 3 months old now! He is so smiley and happy, but when he gets mad, boy does he get mad.

James loved having grandpas to read him books at his every whim.
The bed time gang

on our way to take pictures at the Beck's!

Just James being the heart melter he can be

hilarious.
We met my parents that night at Applebee's. First time I have been there ina very long time and I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was! James was a ham, melting his grandparents' hearts, and he loved not being in a high chair. He even made our neighbors at the next table over feel very welcome.

Sunday morning James came downstairs to find Donald Duck, Pluto, and Mickey Mouse waiting for him on the book shelf. He stood staring at them with a huge smile on his face. Then he pulled the down and chatted with them excitedly for a few minutes. He LOVED them. Thank you grandma Riley! Then at church, we blessed Theo! It was a beautiful blessing. We came home, had lunch and said goodbye to Ben's parents.

After naps, we headed over to my parents' hotel and played in the pool. James didn't really like it. Theo was indifferent (it was his first swim!). However, we let James sit in the hot tub with us for a few minutes and he looooved it. I've never seem him sit so still in my life.
don't worry, I don't really have elephant legs.

We all felt quite relaxed after the hot tub! I think we all slept good that night. This post already has a million pictures, so I will to a separate one about our trip to Hershey. Until then- good night!

Way Fruit Farm Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to Way Fruit Farm for their Fall Festival. They were giving tractor rides out to the pumpkin patch where you could go pick your pumpkin! I had been planning on going to this for a few weeks, and was really excited. Yesterday James started show signs of getting sick, so we were going to see how he felt the next day (today). Well this morning he was bringing me a book to read when he stopped just shy of the couch and upchucked all the milk he drank this morning. While he missed the couch, he did not miss my foot. It was pretty gross. Ben went to our community center and borrowed a carpet cleaner to clean it all up. Good thing he worked at the MTC cleaning carpets all through college. So anyways after that we decided we should probably stay home. After a nap and some lunch, we decided he was seeming well enough to venture out. I checked the weather and it said there was 30% chance of rain starting at 4pm (it was currently 2pm). Perfect! So off we went. And then it started raining when we were 2 miles away from the farm. Awesome. Luckily we actually had our umbrella in the trunk! We were able to ride a tractor out to the patch and Ben and James went and hunted for a pumpkin while Theo and I stayed under the umbrella. We also bought a peck of apples (yum!), some apple cider, squash and gourds, and a few other things. If was a quickish fun trip, and hopefully it didn't make James worse!
because I know you all wanted some action shots of the drive to the farm

There was a traffic jam on James's crib before bed.

Despite James being sick, it was a pretty fun day!!
