On Tuesday we packed our bags and headed to D.C.! It is a 4 hour drive and James did awesome! The first 3 hours he was asleep. Then we pulled over and fed him and were on our way again! He was content to play with Doug and his feet in the back. We enjoyed watching him through his little mirror.
We are fortunate enough to have friends that live in D.C.- The Tingey's! We were able to crash at Ben (Tigger)'s uncles' house! Also, our friends the Dorff's stayed with us too! This is what we looked like when we got to the house.

| ahhh... nice and relaxing! |
Later that day the Dorffs and us got on the metro and went to the Smithsonian Museum of American History. It was pretty fun!

| very pretty flowers |
Then we walked... a lot. We walked to the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, The Vietnam War Memorial, etc. It was very hot. And very humid. And I forgot to pack my tennis shoes so I was walking in my flip flops. Yes I got a blister. Seriously, we picked the hottest week to walk all over D.C. But it's okay, because it was still a lot of fun. And James was a little trooper! As long as he was in the shade and kept cool he was fine!

After another long walk to the metro, Ben and Jackie picked us up and we went to dinner! The food tasted amazing after our long day! Everyone loved James, and he enjoyed all the attention as well :)
